Who is JP?
Joshua Parmenter (JP) is your friendly neighborhood audiographer. He is a long-time veteran of the recording industry, having worked for decades as a voice-over professional and as a gigging and recording musician.
But the important question is, “What does an Echo Ever After Guestbook sound like?”
Ask and ye shall receive! Check out these audio clips, which feature sounds from recent weddings, class reunions, and graduation parties. And if you’d like to know more, there’s a list of Frequently Asked Questions below.

Celebrations go by in a blur. Years later, you might remember the day, but not the voices. Echo Ever After records the people you care about—what they said, how they laughed—so you can enjoy those moments again, even decades down the line.
So yes, much of what I do is about capturing sounds of joy and celebration. That’s not all, though. As tough as it is to say, these events are lightning in a bottle—fleeting moments that will never happen the same way again with loved ones who won’t always be with us. My job at Echo Ever After is to freeze time just that littlest bit so you can go back and revisit those voices when you need them.

For most events, I'm on-site for three to four hours. I bring all the equipment and handle all set up and break down. During your event, I man the audio guestbook station, where guests come to leave their well wishes, advice, and/or memories. They are welcome to speak from the heart or use the event-specific prompts I've put together.

This will depend on the length and type of booking. And to some extent it will depend on how talkative your guests are. But between you and me, at events like these, folks typically have a lot to say!
All that said, the sweet spot is 15-60 minutes of audio delivered as digital files (mp3s), analog files (LP, CD), or both.

You almost got me with a trick question! Sound recordings work alongside photography and video, adding another layer to how a special day can be remembered. It’s an experience that seamlessly complements other forms of media—enhancing, rather than competing with, what’s already in place.
And it's flexible, too. Many people like to listen to the audio while flipping through photos, others prefer it in the car—some even pop it on when they go to sleep!
I would also suggest that there is something timeless about audio. Trends change, but the sound of a loved one's voice never falls out of fashion.

I’m based in the Great American Midwest, just south of St. Louis.
Yes, I’m happy to travel anywhere in the U.S. for your celebration. For events outside my local area, regular travel expenses will apply, along with a modest travel-day rate to reserve the days surrounding your event that I wouldn’t be able to book locally.
